Dr. Clement Ma is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, and Lead Biostatistician at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. He completed his Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship in Biostatistics at the University of Michigan. Dr. Ma’s independent statistical research focuses on the design and conduct of Bayesian adaptive phase I clinical trials in pediatric oncology. His novel adaptive designs, which improve the trial’s accuracy and efficiency compared to traditional designs, have already been implemented in ongoing pediatric trials. As Lead Biostatistician, he provides statistical leadership in clinical research studies in pediatric oncology and hematology, with particular interest in the design and analysis of rare disease registries. He also serves as the study statistician in multiple active clinical trials in pediatric oncology, hematology, and other pediatric specialties.
